With Louis ! behold the #1 original single of the year I release today the 16th of January 2026 under my CALL OF SWING Label & Repertory.
Composed in 1985, this original theme is a tribute to the awesome crooner Louis Prima and his memorable jive style arrangement and rendition of Just a Gigolo’ tube.
After a long rest in my archives, I decided last November to use an instruvocal live record I did at the end of 1985 to produce an immediate available polished instrumental version without waiting a full vocal version with lyrics. As i prefer to share this part in collaborations with all interested vocalists & songwriters.
So, I let you discover this Jive swing arrangement driven by a Horn section alternating Trombone, Trumpet, sax unissons + a very charming Harmonica solo section. All along sided by an acoustic C7 Yamaha grand piano, a double bass & drums.
